Fells Point: In Your Own Backyard

The summer is winding down, and taking a last minute vacation may not be within your means or schedule. Yet, casual dining, a cool stroll along the water, and catching up on some last minute summer sales may still be right up your alley.  If this sounds familiar, then I encourage my fellow Baltimoreans to head to Fells Point...it's in your own backyard!  A recent afternoon lunch with a friend in Harbor East encouraged me to head around the corner to the cobble-stone neighborhood.  It was filled with locals and tourists who found peace while enjoying a chilled brew along restaurant row, perusing the art galleries, and shifting hangers while taking advantage of last minute summer sales.  The days are definitely getting shorter and shorter.  And before we know it, we'll be rolling away the grills, packing away the shorts, and saying hello again to season one: Fall.  So, be sure to take advantage of these last couple of weeks of summer and see what your very own backyard has to offer.
